Liposomal berberine is 5 times more bioavailable than a normal extract. Its bioavailability is further optimized by its association with silymarin, which improves its gastroenteric absorption and performs an antioxidant action.

Monacolins from red rice exhibit a mechanism of action similar to that of lovastatin (a statin drug), which involves inhibiting the activity of the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase and, consequently, the synthesis of cholesterol in the body.

Monacolins from red rice could reduce endogenous synthesis of coenzyme Q10, decreasing its levels in the body. Supplementation with this coenzyme keeps its concentration stable, besides enhancing its protective effect on the cardiovascular system.

Hydroxytyrosol, the main polyphenol in olive oil, counts among its many cardiovascular benefits its usefulness in counteracting oxidative processes.

Berberine: found in several plants, including Berberis aristata.

Silymarin: a mixture of flavonolignans abundantly present in milk thistle.

Hydroxytyrosol: a plant compound found in olive oil (Olea europea L.) that has strong antioxidant properties. Along with other compounds in the plant, it is responsible for the slightly bitter and spicy taste of extra virgin olive oil.

Monacolins: these molecules have a chemical structure and action similar to that of lovastatin, which is used to lower cholesterol.

Coenzyme Q10: also called ubiquinone or ubidecarenone, this is a cofactor that is required for ATP synthesis and cellular bioenergetic activity

The maximum daily intake of monacolins from red rice fermented by fungi should be less than 3 mg. Do not take it during pregnancy or breastfeeding or if undergoing therapy with lipid-lowering drugs and other products containing fermented red rice. Consult your doctor if any health problems arise while consuming this product. Do not take if under the age of 18 or over the age of 70.
