Beta-Carotene Food Supplement

Many epidemiological studies indicate that the intake of fruit and vegetables, with their high carotenoid content, can improve skin health, hindering the formation of wrinkles.

Some researchers have reported that administration of beta-carotene from the alga Dunaliella salina (94% beta-carotene and small quantities of alpha-carotene, cryptoxanthin, zeaxanthin and lutein) can protect human skin from UV-induced rashes. In fact, an overall protective effect against sunburn has been observed after the administration of beta-carotene.

Another important action of beta-carotene for eye health is that it protects against senile macular degeneration.

This product contains beta-carotene derived from Dunaliella salina, a microscopic alga cultivated in the Australian waters of the South Indian Ocean.

Beta-carotene: important source of provitamin A, it is not synthesised by the body and, therefore, has to be taken with food.

Teodoresco, fruit and vegetable extract in powder (broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, spinach, tomatoes, ginger, beets, carrots, onion, potatoes, peaches, lemons, lime, oranges, grapefruits, bananas, plums, kiwi, mango, cantaloupe, cherries, raspberries, blueberries, red grapes, strawberries, pineapple, apples, apricots, red pepper, elder, eggplant), anti-caking agent (stearic acid and vegetable magnesium stearate), thickener (sodium carboxymethyl cellulose), bulking agent (microcrystalline cellulose), glazing agent (hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose), firming agent (glycerol).
