Inositol

Myo-inositol Food Supplement

Source of myo-inositol, natural water soluble vitamin.

Many experimental studies indicate a protective action performed primarily by folates, along with inositol, for neural tube (DTN) closure defects, which are one of the most common causes of congenital malformations.

In addition, inositol has an insulin-sensitising effect that favours the reduction of circulating insulin levels. This can be useful for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), in which insulin-resistance is a problem.

The use of inositol is also explored in idiopathic male infertility. In fact, it seems that this vitamin can improve certain sperm parameters, besides contributing to restore the balance of gonadotropin and inhibin B levels.
