Lecithin is a phospholipid that is present in soy and in some plant oils. Its main metabolic activity is to protect cell membrane function. When ingested, it breaks down and forms the cell membrane, ensuring the stability of cells.

Several studies document that phospholipids can inhibit cholesterol absorption.

Phosphatidylcholine provides choline, an essential nutrient precursor of acetylcholine, of betaine, of phospholipids and of sphingomyelin, which protects hepatic function.

Choline, like phosphatidylserine, acts as a precursor to acetylcholine and plays a role in the proper transmission of nerve impulses. Meanwhile, lecithin contributes to the protection of the nervous system's structures, which are extremely delicate.
