Olive Leaf Food Supplement

Titrated at 20% of oleuropein, an antioxidant compound that has beneficial effects on the lipid metabolism, on carbohydrate metabolism, on normal blood circulation and on regular blood pressure values.

Isolated in 1908, oleuropein is responsible for the typical pungent and bitter scent of olives and of the oil.

The main compounds isolated from olive leaves are fatty acids, triterpenes, phenolic acids, flavonoids and iridoids, including oleuropein, the active ingredient that has been attributed the most health-promoting effects.

Oleuropein and its derivatives have several actions, including especially the antioxidant action, which is effective against superoxides, hydroxyl peroxides and lipoids.

Other activities include: blood pressure reduction, blood glucose reduction, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-arrhythmic, spasmolytic and diuretic.

Standardisation is a preparation method that allows to obtain an extract with qualitatively and quantitatively constant natural active ingredients.
