Poria Food Supplement

Titrated at 50% of polysaccharides and at 15% of β(1,3-1,6)-D-glucans. Produced by organic farming.

 

Poria is also known as Chinese Root. Considered one of the oldest and most used remedies pf Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is picked in late summer and subjected to prolonged drying.

Poria has an irregular roundish shape, which recalls that of a coconut also for its brown colour on the surface and white centre. It is an edible mushroom that is also called Indian Bread in the United States. When cooked it reveals a soft consistency and sweet flavour.

Poria is a mushroom, whose active compounds are easily digested and assimilated, with important diuretic and detox properties; hence, it is indicated for fluid retention. It actively eliminates sodium, which is related to swelling and hypertension, while it allows to spare potassium, which is essential to preserve the overall fluid balance. Poria reduces tiredness and stress, and there is evidence to suggest that it can attenuate mood swings, with positive effects on insomnia.

Organic Poria titrated at 30% of polysaccharides and at 15% of β(1,3-1,6)-D-glucans, with Polyporus umbellatus, derived from DNA-certified mushroom strains.
