Tea (Camellia sinensis) is called “green” when it is not subjected to fermentation processes that would cause oxidation of the main polyphenolic compounds, catechins and epigallocatechin-gallate (EGCG), which have demonstrated antioxidant properties both in vitro and in vivo studies. In fact, these substances are attributed a powerful antioxidant action that, by targeting various processes, contributes to the body’s well-being.

Green tea contains more catechins than black tea or oolong tea. In addition, its content of certain minerals and vitamins increases the antioxidant potential of this type of tea.

Since ancient times, green tea has been regarded by traditional Chinese medicine as a health drink.

The most recent epidemiological observations indicate an association between consumption of green tea catechins and benefits in terms of antioxidant protection and promotion of physiological functions.

Epigallocatechin-gallate (EGCG): Catechins are polyphenolic compounds found mainly in green tea: epicatechin (EC), epigallocatechin (EGC), epicatechin-3-gallate (ECG) and, the most potent, epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG).

1 capsule twice a day, with water after meals.

98% [980mg] total polyphenols (UV method)

Ingredients: green tea leaf extract, anti-caking agent (vegetable magnesium stearate). Capsule of vegetable origin in hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.

 

 

Do not take during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and under 18 years old. Do not use on an empty stomach, if you are taking in the same day other products containing green tea. The maximum daily intake of EGCg should be less than 800mg.
